Connecting you to the spirit of your writing
A writing coach is there to work with you 1-2-1, bringing the best out of you and your writing.
Why book a writing coach?
We’ve all been there. You say you will write your story and never get round to it. You’ve started writing - many times - but you have a folder of unfinished drafts. You’ve written something - YAY! - but now you’re not sure if it’s working, if it’s any good, or even where to begin on getting it read and published. Whatever it may be, I can help with writing coaching.
I approach each writing coaching session differently and tailor it specifically to you, the writer, in our 1-2-1 sessions. The ethos remains the same: connecting you to the spirit of your writing.
I will motivate you and keep you on track. I will offer feedback on your work, identifying what is working and what isn’t. I will help you through plot points and writer’s block. I will reconnect you to your creativity. You don’t have to be writing the next best novel - all you need is a seed of an idea and a desire to write. Whether publication is your goal or simply just to be creative, we can work together to achieve your desired outcomes.
I’ll help you find confidence in yourself and your work.
I will bring the best out of you.
As a writing coach, I will also help you refine your work, keep on track with your word count goals, reconnect with your creativity, and stay inspired.
As your writing coach, I’m there to keep you accountable if you need it. As a writing coach, I can guide you on your writing career.
As a writing coach, I can provide feedback on your work and help you improve.
Coaching starts at £50 and it is incredibly personal - but inspiring and a lot of fun. I can’t wait to work with you!
Hi, I’m Jack Strange.
I’m a traditionally published author, published by HarperCollins, with a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing. I am also pursuing a Master’s in Creative Writing and Education. My Creativity Coaching for writers inspires you to write your story and stay on track. I also help nurture your creativity and your creative spirit, offering writing coaching that infuses a connection to spirituality. I offer tarot readings online.
I also host writing and creativity workshops.
My Approach
My Creativity Coaching sessions are run with mindfulness in mind. I believe we have to look after ourselves and our well-being, so that we can focus on the art we want to make. I believe in grounding ourselves, looking to the stars, and listening to divine messages, though if you don’t resonate with that, I don’t include it in our sessions. I encourage curiosity. I encourage an open mind. Using writing prompts, offering feedback, and talking about career goals is my way of ensuring you stay inspired and creative. Come with a plan to write a book, or simply to write whatever you wish, with no desire to publish. Leave feeling confident in your writing, and knowing you have achieved your goals and improved what you’re working on. My Creativity Coaching sessions are all about you and your needs, and, of course, writing!

What is writing coaching?
When you go to the gym, you might ask someone to coach you through the exercise. A writing coach will coach you through your writing. As a writing coach, I'll also work with you on a personal level. We get to know one another and look at the why behind your choices.
As a writing coach, I want you to be the best version of yourself. I want you to see your talent and your worth. I want you to believe in your story. I want you to remember that only you can write what you want to write.
Writing coaching goes beyond the story you're writing. Not only will I look at your work and tell you what's working and what isn't, but I'll also offer career guidance, creativity prompts, suggestions on how to improve, and so much more. Each session is tailored to you, and you might come to one session wanting to look at one thing, and halfway through identify another problem or topic you want to cover.
Combining my experience as a traditionally published author and a creative writing tutor, you're in safe hands. I create a calm atmosphere, one where you won't be judged. I will keep you motivated, creative, on track and help set you goals. Most importantly, I'll keep you writing and believing in yourself.
Do I need it?
If you struggle to stay motivated, if you can't identify why the story isn't working, if you are wondering if the work is any good - then it doesn't hurt to have a fresh pair of eyes on your work. Go at your own pace and treat these sessions like workshopping sessions. University without the student loan!

Your tarot cards are telling you to lock in. Your astrology is in a good place right now. You're seeing signs everywhere. Yet you still haven't started the book you're promising yourself you're going to write. Your half-finished drafts are still waiting for you to get back to them. You're writing your story, but you need to know if it works.
Writing takes discipline, and sometimes you need someone to help you along the way, with a little bit of spiritual guidance thrown in!
The Mindful Writer for spiritual writer sessions offer you both creativity and writing guidance, as well as spiritual guidance.
The Mindful Writer Coaching that I offer uniquely blends writing as a creative act, and writing mindfully and spiritually.
My Mindful Writer Coaching offers three tiers.
1 × 60-minute session involves:
A look at 1,000 words (the beginning of your story of wherever you think most appropriate). To be sent before the session. Feedback will be tailored personally to you, but will more than likely look at the storyline, structure, character and character arcs, scene pacing, dialogue and anything else that stands out. If you have something specific you want to look at, please let me know.
Your mindset when it comes to writing.
One tarot card pulled to offer spiritual guidance.
